God brought Rod and his family to Gainesville / Haymarket in December 2001 specifically for the purpose of planting Grace Church. Rod married April in 1992, and together they have 3 boys, and 1 girl, ranging from elementary to middle school aged. Rod served as a church planting missionary in Florida, Texas and Africa prior to coming to Northern Virginia. He is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDivBL 1992) and Old Dominion University (1985). His responsibilities at GCGV include preaching; pastoral oversight and evangelism. Rod's heartbeat is to see the gospel of God's grace established in His church and taken to the nations!
